All three world records were broken by the shooting contingent.

At the Asian Games 2023 the Indian contingent made history by shattering a multitude of records, be it national, Asian, or Games records. A shining star in this remarkable feat was the Indian shooting team, which emerged as the second most successful sport for India in Asian Games 2023. They clinched an impressive total of 22 medals, including seven gold, nine silver, and six bronze.

This outstanding performance surpassed their previous highest medal count of 14, achieved at the 2006 Doha Asian Games, where they won three gold, five silver, and six bronze medals. The Indian shooters' dominance at the Asian Games 2023 is an incredible testament to their skill, determination, and rich legacy of shooting in India.

Although labeled the most unpredictable sport, numerous Asian and Games record has been set, as many as 18 along with three new world records which were breached by the Indian shooters in the Chinese backyard.

In a breathtaking display of precision and teamwork, the Indian trio of Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar, Rudrankksh Patil, and Divyansh Panwar scripted history at the 2023 Asian Games. Their remarkable feat unfolded in the 10m Air Rifle Men's team qualification, where they not only clinched the gold but also shattered the world record.

The trio's remarkable score of 1893.7 points left the previous record of 1893.3, held by China at the ISSF World Championships earlier in the year, far behind. This extraordinary performance set new records not only in the Asian Games but also on the global stage, signifying the exceptional talent and dedication of these Indian shooters

Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar, Swapnil Kusale, Akhil Sheoran - 50m Rifle 3P team

In a phenomenal display of talent and precision, the Indian team comprising Aishwarya Pratap Tomar, Swapnil Kusale, and Akhil Sheoran achieved a historic victory in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men's team event at the 2023 Asian Games. They secured the top position with a remarkable total score of 1769 points.

What makes their triumph even more extraordinary is that they surpassed the previous world record by an impressive eight points. The previous record, set by the USA just a year ago, was left in the dust by this stellar performance.
