India is sending a 59-member athlete contingent for the Asian Winter Games 2025.

India is sending its largest-ever contingent to the Asian Winter Games 2025 edition. The team consists of 46 male and 13 female athletes. Apart from the men’s Ice Hockey team, which consists of 23 members, everyone else is supported by the Sports Ministry. The 2022 Winter Olympian Arif Khan will be representing India at the Alpine Skiing. Apart from him, some other prominent names are Aanchal Thakur and Varsha Puranik.

Aanchal became the first Indian skier to win a medal at the International Ski Federation event in 2018. Varsha Puranik is the best Ice Skater in India and will be looking for a good show at the Asian Winter Games. The competition will commence on February 7 with the opening Ceremony and will end a week later on February 14. Last year India sent 27-member squad to compete in six sports disciplines.

While the number of events India will compete in remains the same for Asian Winter Games 2025, the number of athletes has more than doubled.
