As per the structure, they are scheduled to face the second qualifying team from Group B. Both India and Pakistan will play their quarterfinals on the same day. That is why the possibility of an IND vs PAK clash at the Asian Games 2026 looks possible.
If both teams win their quarterfinal, which looks quite possible, they will make it to the semifinal round. And once both teams win their semifinal, they will meet for the medal match in the final. So, the first possible scenario is in the final.
But in case both teams lose their semifinals, then they will be put up against each other in the Bronze Medal Match for third place, which will be played before the final on October 3.
However, if one team wins the semifinal and the other team loses it, then the game between India and Pakistan will not be possible. The way these two teams are lined up, there is a chance that both teams will meet in the final for the gold medal.
