India at Asian Games 2026: Sepak Takraw schedule, squad, & live streaming details
India have sent 21 sepak takraw athletes to the Aichi-Nagoya Games
The Asian Games 2026 will take place in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from September 19 to October 4. India are taking part in what will be the 20th edition of the continental tournament and have sent a 508-member contingent to the competition.
Shooting, athletics, and archery were among India’s most successful sports in terms of gold medals, but India also broke new ground in sepak takraw. The Indian team won bronze in the women’s Regu event, marking the first women’s sepak takraw medal for the country at the Asian Games.
The only other Asiad medal for India in the sport was a men’s Regu bronze at the Jakarta-Palembang 2018 Games. India will look to add to this growing tally at the Aichi-Nagoya Games, having named a strong sepak takraw contingent.
Priya Devi Elangbam, Chaoba Devi Oinam, and Maipak Devi Ayekpam, who were part of the bronze medal-winning Regu team in the last edition, will compete in the women’s Quadrant event this year.
