Asian Youth Games 2025

The Asian Youth Games 2025 will feature around 4,300 athletes from 45 nations.

The Asian Youth Games 2025 will take place from October 22 to 31 in Bahrain. Around 4,300 athletes from 45 nations will be competing across 26 sports in the competition.

It will only be the third edition of the Asian Youth Games, with the last one taking place in 2013. The last edition witnessed China emerging as the table-toppers with 93 medals. They will send the biggest contingent, comprising 293 athletes in this edition.

Meanwhile, the Indians competed as independent athletes after the International Olympic Committee suspended the country’s membership.

From India, 222 athletes are set to participate in this edition under the leadership of Olympic medalist Yogeshwar Dutt.

Among the boxing contingent, gold medalists Dhruv Kharb, Udham Singh Raghav, Khushi Chand will be the key players. Avik Bhatia will be the sole equestrian (show jumping) representative from India.

The multi-sport event will get underway with the opening ceremony on October 22 and will run until October 31.
