The Indian athletes had a superb outing at the Aichi-Nagoya Games.

The Asian Games 2026 was held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan from September 19 to October 4. A total of 46 nations competed at the multi-sport continental tournament, with India finishing fourth in the medal table with 85 medals — 21 golds, 27 silvers and 37 bronzes.

The Indian men’s and women’s teams secured double-gold finishes in cricket, kabaddi, and hockey. Interestingly, this marked the first time Indian men’s and women’s hockey teams had both won gold medals at the same Games.

Several brilliant individual performances were also witnessed. 17-year-old Kumkum Mohod became the first Indian female archer to win an individual recurve gold. She won two golds and one silver at the Aichi-Nagoya Games.

Pranavi Urs created history with historic individual golf gold at the 2026 Games. Moreover, Neeru Dhanda became India’s first women’s trap shooting gold medallist and was selected as the country’s flagbearer for the closing ceremony.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at India’s youngest and oldest medallists at the Aichi-Nagoya Games.
