Two Indians are set to take part in the competition

The Lausanne Diamond League 2023 is back with its sixth leg which is all set to kick off at the La Pontaise Olympic Stadium (Stade Olympique de la Pontaise) in Lausanne, Switzerland on June 30, 2023. Several top athletes are set to take part in the prestigious meet and this is also the last competition before the official start of qualification (from July 1st) for Paris Olympic Games.

India's national record holder and Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra and Murali Sreeshankar are set to take part in the competition. This is Neeraj Chopra's first competition after recovering from a muscle strain that saw him miss three events; FBK Games, Paavo Nurmi Games, and Ostrava Golden Spike meets in a span of one month. He was last seen in action at the Doha Diamond League where he claimed the top spot with a WL throw; ultimately overtaken by Jakub Vadlejch).

Murali Sreeshankar stood third with a best leap of 8.09m at Paris Diamond League and came close to breaching the WL and NR at the Inter States Athletic Meet with a jump of 8.41m.

Although the Lausanne leg is officially taking place on June 30, one of the competitions, women’s high jump, a Diamond League event, will be held on June 29, 2023, at 18:00. The schedule on 30th June 2023, is as follows:
