World Athletics Indoor Championships 2024 schedule, fixtures live streaming details
The 19th edition of the competition will take place in Glasgow, Scotland, from March 1-3.
From March 1st to 3rd, Glasgow, Scotland, will host the World Athletics Indoor Championships 2024 where the top track & field stars will eye global indoor titles in the Emirates Arena in Dalmarnock.
During the span of three days, a total of 26 events will take place which is evenly divided with 13 for women and 13 for men. 651 competitors from over 130 nations will compete as a prelude to the Paris Olympics 2024.
In the World Athletics Indoor Championships, there will be 18 gold medalists from the previous Indoor Worlds competing along with seven current Olympic champions and several holders of world records. Among the athletes to watch are Noah Lyles, aiming to secure gold in the men’s 60m and improve his indoor track record. His main challenger could be Christian Coleman, the world record holder.
For the British team, Laura Muir and Josh Kerr are strong contenders in the 3000m. Molly Caudery seeks to maintain her impressive pole-vaulting form against the formidable Katie Moon. Armand Duplantis eyes gold and possibly a new world record in the men’s pole vault.
Grant Holloway aims to lower his 60m hurdles world record. Norwegian Karsten Warholm and Dutch Femke Bol will step out of their comfort zones to compete in the flat track events.
Additionally, Ryan Crouser, Julien Alfred and Yaroslava Mahuchikh are athletes worth watching closely for their exceptional performances. Praveen Chithravel, triple jumper and Jeswin Aldrin, long jumper are the sole Indian representatives participating in the event.
