Indian mixed relay team will look to seal the Paris berth.

The Asian Relays 2024 will commence on Monday, May 20th and will conclude the following day on May 21st. This inaugural edition of the event is set to take place in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Indian mixed relay team will compete in the Asian relays as both the Indian men’s and women’s relay teams have secured their spots for the Paris Olympics. Despite missing out on qualification at the World Relays in the Bahamas earlier this month, the Indian mixed relay team now has an opportunity to qualify for the Olympics through this tournament, Men’s relay team will also participate in the event.

To secure their spot in the Paris Olympics, the Indian mixed relay team must surpass their national record of 3:14.34s which was established in October 2023 at the Hangzhou Asian Games in China. Additionally, India will need to outperform Italy’s time of 3:13.56s to qualify via the world rankings route.

When and Where is the Asian Relays 2024 taking place?

The Asian Relays 2024 will kick off on Monday, May 20th, and wrap up on May 21st in Bangkok, Thailand.
