Indian Grand Prix 2 Athletics: Live streaming, TV channel, where and how to watch

Chennai is gearing up to host the second Indian Grand Prix of the 2024 athletics season at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Thursday. Organized by the Tamil Nadu Athletic Association (TNAA) under the aegis of the Athletic Federation of India (AFI), the one-day event will feature top athletes from across the country competing for honors.

The Grand Prix serves as one of the selection trials for this year’s Paris Olympics. Nine events are on the schedule: 200m, 400m, 400m hurdles, 1500m, 5000m, pole vault, triple jump, shot put, and javelin throw.

Prominent athletes expected to compete include triple jumper Abdulla Aboobacker, the 2022 Commonwealth Games silver medalist, and the 2023 Asian Athletics Championships gold medalist. In the women’s pole vault, national record holders Rosy Meena Paulraj, Pavithra Venkatesh, and Baranica Elangovan will take the field.

Tamil Nadu’s Santhosh (200m), K. Avinash (400m), and Mohammed Salahuddin (triple jump) are among the state’s elite athletes participating.
