The Indian Grand Prix 3 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 2, at the Guru Nanak Stadium in Ludhiana, Punjab.
The Athletics Federation of India (AFI) has made it mandatory for Indian athletes to compete in one of the Indian Open Athletics Meet or the Indian Grand Prix to be eligible to participate in the upcoming 64th National Inter-State Athletics Championships 2025, scheduled to take place from August 20 to 24 in Chennai.
National shot put record holder Tajinderpal Singh Toor will be in action, while Yashvir Singh and Sahil Silwal will fight for the top spot in the men’s javelin throw event. They will be joined by Deepanshu Sharma, who is considered a strong medal contender.
400m under-18 national record holder Neeru Pathak will begin her 2025 season at the upcoming Indian Grand Prix 3 on Saturday. KM Chanda, Vithya Ramraj, and Nithya Ramraj will be the other consistent female athletes in action in the one-day event.
