Indian Open Athletics Meet 2025 Patna leg: Full schedule, timings & live streaming details

The caravan of the Indian Open Athletics Meet 2025 has now moved towards Patna.

The Indian Open Athletics Meeting 2025 is scheduled to take place on July 19, 2025, at the Patliputra Sports Complex in Kanker Bagh, Patna, Bihar.

This inaugural edition marks a significant milestone for Bihar. It provides a valuable platform for athletes from remote areas of the state to showcase and hone their talents in track and field.

Organized by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) in collaboration with the Bihar Athletics Association, the meet is part of AFI’s strategic initiative to decentralize athletics and bring competition closer to athletes’ homes.

This will be the seventh meet in a series of eight Indian Open Athletics Meetings introduced this season. The event is expected to attract participation from more than 250 athletes representing various states.

Participation in any of these meets or the Indian Grand Prix has been made mandatory for qualification to the 64th National Inter-State Athletics Championships, scheduled from August 20 to 24, 2025, in Chennai.

In the men’s category – 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m, 10000m, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put Throw, and Discus Throw.

In the women’s category- 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m, 10000m, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put Throw, Javelin Throw, and Discus Throw.
