Indian Open U23 Athletics Championships 2024: Full schedule, fixtures, results, live streaming details

Several young track and field stars from the country will be in action in the tournament.

The Indian Open U23 Athletics Championships 2024 is scheduled to kick off from September 28 to 30, at the Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna, Bihar. The competition will see athletes participating in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m, 10000m, 110m hurdles/100m hurdles, 400m hurdles, and 3000m steeplechase among the track disciplines and high jump, pole vault, long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus throw, hammer throw, and javelin throw, among the field events.

Animesh Kujur, Manikanta Hoblidhar, and Moumita Mondal are among the prominent names who will be competing at the Indian Open U23 Athletics Championships. Kujur, who has been making waves in the Indian Athletics circuit, will feature in both 100m and 200m events at the tournament. He previously claimed the National title in the 200m event at the tournament.

The 100m national record holder Hoblidhar will also be in action at the Open U23 tournament, having established at the 62nd National Open Athletics Championships.

Meanwhile, Moumita Mondal, who emerged as the Best Female Athlete during the past edition at the tournament, will once again hope to create an impression this year in both 100m hurdles and long jump events. Some other promising athletes to watch out for are Laxmipriya Kisan, Bhartpreet Singh, and Tanya Chaudhary.
