The men’s 400m hurdles lineup will see the three biggest stars compete for gold. Karsten Warholm, Rai Benjamin and Alison dos Santos could give the fans a preview for the Paris Olympics 2024.
Santos leads the timings in terms of this season. But Warholm could soon establish himself with a season best timing. The trio could see Abderrahman Samba troubling their pace as the Qatari athlete has been a promising star on the track.
Five-time Diamond trophy winner, Noah Lyles has opted out of the competition. Lyles was expected to be the contender for the gold medal in the 200m event. He will be spending the week in Florida in his training base.
In Lyle’s absence, Paris Diamond League winner, Alexander Ogando will be leading the field. He was the only athlete to clock a sub 20 race at Paris five days ago. But he will be challenged by Tarsis Orogot and Ryan Zeze.
In the women’s 100m event, Patrizia van der Weken will be looking to win her second consecutive Diamond League meeting after Paris.
