Neeraj Chopra will be in action on Saturday, July 5.

Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra recently featured in a fun segment with Star Sports India. In this segment, they tested how much Neeraj knows about cricket and he certainly did not disappoint. In a rapid-fire Q&A, Neeraj displayed his genuine passion and knowledge of India’s beloved game.

The Olympic champion breezed through a rapid-fire cricket quiz, confidently naming Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, and Rohit Sharma when asked about three Indian batters, an impressive blend of legendary figures and modern-day stars.

When prompted to name three Indian bowlers, he followed up with Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Kapil Dev, again striking a balance between past and present greats.

Neeraj also aced a question on Indian cricket stadiums by promptly naming Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Bengaluru, and didn’t miss a beat when listing essential cricket gear like bat, ball, and wickets.

Reflecting on the overlap between sports, Chopra emphasized the shared physical techniques in javelin throwing and fast bowling, including fast run-ups, explosive releases, and strong blocking to channel momentum.

He even said that Jasprit Bumrah‘s technique is very similar to the movements of the javelin throw, which would make him a great contender if he ever takes up the sport.
