This will be the 64th edition of the Ostrava Golden Spike meet.

The Ostrava Golden Spike 2025 will take place on Tuesday, June 24, at the Městský Stadion in Ostrava-Vítkovice, Czech Republic. A total of 16 events (nine in the men’s discipline and six in the women’s discipline) are scheduled to be held in the one-day competition, drawing interest from top athletes across the globe.

Neeraj Chopra is the only Indian athlete competing in the competition. The World Athletics Continental Tour Gold-level meet is the same event where Neeraj’s coach, Jan Zelezny, clinched nine titles between 1986 and 2006. Drawing inspiration from his legendary coach, the Indian javelin thrower will look to put up a solid performance, carrying forward Jan’s legacy.

Heading into this competition on the back of a Paris Diamond League title, Neeraj Chopra is riding high on confidence. He was forced to withdraw from the previous two editions of Ostrava Golden Spike due to fitness concerns. The Indian athlete is well prepared to compete in the event after a short training in Nymburk, Czech Republic.

When & where will Ostrava Golden Spike 2025 athletics meet take place?

The Ostrava Golden Spike 2025 athletics meet will be played at the Městský Stadion in Ostrava-Vítkovice, Czech Republic, on Tuesday, June 24. The events will commence at 7:35 PM IST (4:05 PM local time) and conclude by 12:00 AM IST (8:30 PM local time). Neeraj Chopra’s javelin throw event is expected to start at 10:30 PM IST.
