South Asian Athletics Championships 2025: Live streaming, TV channel, where & how to watch?

Six nations will compete in the 2025 edition of the event.

The South Asian Athletics Championships 2025 will take place from October 24 to 26 at the Birsa Munda Football Stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Athletes from six nations, including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the Maldives, Bhutan, Nepal, and hosts India, will compete in the three-day-long event.

The tournament was earlier scheduled to take place in October 2024, but was later postponed to May 2025, before being shifted to October 2025. Pakistan will not compete in the 2025 edition and have withdrawn from the tournament.

Hosts India have named an 80-member contingent for the South Asian athletics competition, and a total of over 300 athletes will be in action competing in the tournament.

The first edition of the championships was hosted in India in 1997, while Sri Lanka hosted the second edition in 1998.

The third edition was hosted in Kerala from March 7 to 8, where the hosts topped the medal tally with 57 medals. They clinched 24 gold, 19 silver, and 14 bronze medals in the two-day competition.

The upcoming edition of the South Asian Athletics Championships marks the return of the competition after 17 long years. Team India will start the event as clear favorites, hoping to register their best-ever medal haul.
