Several of Indiaâs leading track and field athletes will be in action at the World Athletics Continental Tour Silver Meet Bhubaneswar 2026, which will take place at the Kalinga Stadium on August 22 (Saturday).
The event is part of the World Athletics Continental Tour and will allow Indian athletes to compete at home while earning valuable ranking points on the international athletics calendar.
Among the top Indian athletes participating in the meet are double Commonwealth Games silver medallist Murali Sreeshankar, menâs 100m national record holder Gurindervir Singh, 200m national record holder Animesh Kujur, womenâs 100m national record holder Jyothi Yarraji and womenâs javelin thrower Annu Rani.
There is also recent CWG bronze medallist in womenâs discus throw Seema Kaliramna and Nidhi Rani, who finished fourth in the same event in Glasgow.
More than 180 athletes from 27 nations will participate in the meet, which has been upgraded from bronze level to silver this year, in Bhubaneswar across 18 events.
