Two-time Olympic medalist Neeraj Chopra recently married Himani Mor in an intimate ceremony. The marriage news was announced by India’s star athlete on social media, surprising everyone as there was no prior information regarding the wedding.
“Starting a new chapter of life with my family. Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after,” wrote Neeraj on Twitter. The Indian Javelin superstar won the country their first Olympic gold medal in athletics, at the 2020 Tokyo Games.
Chopra brought more joy at the 2024 Paris Games, bringing home a silver medal. With his impressive list of accomplishments and widespread recognition in the global sports fraternity, curiosity about his wife, Himani Mor, has grown. Here’s everything you need to know about Neeraj Chopra’s wife.

Neeraj Chopra’s wife Himani Mor is a former tennis player who last played in 2017. With an educational background from Southeastern Louisiana University, Himani is a former volunteer assistant coach in tennis at Franklin Pierce University.
Mor is also a graduate assistant at Amherst College, managing women’s tennis, including training, recruitment, budgets & scheduling. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Sports Management & Administration at McCormack Isenberg School of Management in Amherst, Massachusetts.
Originally belonging to Larsauli, Haryana, Himali attended Little Angels School in Sonipat, which also happens to be India’s tennis star Sumit Nagal’s alma mater. She also studied in Delhi’s Miranda House where she pursued a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Physical Education before moving to the US to continue her education.
“Yes, the marriage took place in India two days back. I can’t tell the place where it took place,” said Neeraj Chopra’s uncle Bhim to PTI. He further said that the newlywed couple has currently left for their honeymoon.
“The girl is from Sonipat and she is studying in the US. They have left the country for honeymoon and I am not aware of the places where they are going. We wanted to keep it like that,” informed Bhim from his village at Khandra near Panipat in Haryana.

According to the All India Tennis Association (AITA) website, Himani’s career-best national ranking was 42 in singles and 27 in doubles in 2018. She started playing in 2018 only in AITA events. In her short career so far, Himani has three wins and five losses in singles.
Apart from Olympic medals, Chopra is also the reigning world champion and the Diamond League winner from 2022. He also won gold at the Commonwealth Games 2018 and is a two-time Asian Games gold medallist. In a world where fan-following and PR have taken over in sports, Chopra’s wedding without prior information highlights the Indian superstar’s commitment and dedication.
