Singapore won just 1 title back in 2004 when Roland Susuilo emerged victorious to clinch countries first title at the Japan Open.
This time there will be high hopes from the former World Champion Loh Kean Yew. In the 2022 edition, Loh Kean Yew lost to HS Prannoy (20-22,19-21) in round 2. Terry Hee and Jessica Tan Wei defeated the Chinese pair in round 1 (21-14,17-21,21-12) but lost to 4th seed Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Sapsiree Taerattanachai (14-21,13-21).
