Proceeds from the auction will go for charity.

In an unique initiative, the shirt worn by Asian Games 2023 gold medalist Chirag Shetty during the final match is set to go under the hammer. The shirt, signed by Chirag and his partner Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, will be auctioned on Sunday, November 26, at 2 PM IST, on the Instagram channel – Solibad Charity.

The proceeds from the auction will be directed towards supporting children in need at Sri Meikandaar Matric Higher Secondary School. The school, built by the NGO HUMAN Uplift, is located in the village of Mannachanallur, in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. Funds raised here will be used to set up a global sports program for up to 900 children for a year, including badminton.

The jersey holds a special place in history as it Satwik-Chirag won India’s first-ever gold medal in the Asian Games for any category in badminton.

Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy have been Solibad Ambassadors for a couple of years and believe it is their responsibility to give back to the community, especially those who are in need. The auction will take place on Solibad’s Instagram account @solibad_charity, on November 26th from 2 PM (IST) until the last bid at 8 PM.

Former world no.1 duo have currently reached the final of China Masters 2023 after defeating home pairing of He Ji Ting and Ren Xiang Yu in straight games (21-15, 22-20). Up next, they are set to battle against second seeds Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang for the top spot.
