Aaron Tai’s victory at the Syed Modi International 2025 marked his first-ever BWF Super 300 title.

The Syed Modi International 2025 crowned its champions on Sunday, 30 November, and among the winners was the young Malaysian pair Kang Khai Xing and Aaron Tai. For 19-year-old Aaron Tai, this was no ordinary victory, it was a historic chapter in his rising career.

The Malaysian duo faced compatriots Chia Wei Jie and Lwi Sheng Hao in an all-Malaysian final and delivered a thumping performance, winning the match 21–9, 21–19.

This matchup was a repeat of the Malaysia Super 100 final held earlier in 2025, and once again, Kang and Tai emerged as victors, extending their head-to-head lead over Chia and Lwi to 2–0.

That Thailand Open final was a thriller, where Rankireddy and Shetty defeated the reigning world champions, Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen, in three games, 21–19, 18–21, 21–18.

Following Tai on the list is South Korea’s Lee Jong Min, who claimed the Korea Masters 2025 title at 19 years and 20 days old.

The fourth youngest to achieve that feat is Taiwan’s Lai Po Yu, who lifted the US Open 2025 trophy at 19 years and 41 days old.

Tai’s partner, Malaysia’s Kang Khai Xing, also makes the list, having won the Syed Modi International 2025 at 19 years and 60 days old, while Thailand’s Pakkapon Teeraratsakul, who was the champion at the US Open 2024, rounds out the group at 19 years and 63 days.
