The competition brings together several of the world’s leading shuttlers, with home favourites and international stars battling for one of the most prestigious titles on the BWF calendar. The men’s singles draw is headed by Jonatan Christie, with Christo Popov, Kunlavut Vitidsarn, Chou Tien-chen, Anders Antonsen and China’s Shi Yuqi among the other top seeds.
In women’s singles, defending champion An Se-young is the top seed. The South Korean star will face a strong challenge from China’s Wang Zhiyi and Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi, while Thailand’s Ratchanok Intanon is also a leading contender.
The doubles draws are equally competitive. South Korea’s Kim Won-ho/Seo Seung-jae are the top seeds in men’s doubles, while Feng Yanzhe/Huang Dongping of China lead the mixed doubles field. In women’s doubles, defending champions Jia Yifan/Zhang Shuxian of China will look to continue their title defence.
