Denmark Open 2024: Full list of players who have withdrawn from BWF 750 tournament

The Denmark Open 2024 will be the penultimate BWF 750 event of this season.
The BWF Denmark Open 2024 main draw has seen the absence of few key shuttlers. The initial list had 307 registrations in five events. But with the event getting underway, over 20 top ranked players have withdrawn from the tournament. India and Malaysia have seen multiple players missing out on the action in Odense.
In the men’s singles, world No #1 Shi Yu Qi had withdrawn from the Denmark Open at the end of September. He has not played an event since the China Open which was held in the second week of September. Lin Chu-Yi of Chinese Taipei will also be missing the event, he has been away from the tour ever since clinching the Taipei Open last month.
Kiran George and Priyanshu Rajawat will also not be seen competing in Denmark Open. The pair had suffered first round exits in the China Open. Meanwhile, HS Prannoy is yet to make a comeback since the Paris Olympics.
In women’s singles, world No #3 and two-time champion Tai Tzu-ying has withdrawn from the event. Joining the player from Chinese Taipei is another former champion from Japan, Nozomi Okuhara. Tai has not played a match since her opening round exit in China Open while Okuhara has not featured in a since Japan Open in August.

In men’s doubles, India’s Chirag Shetty/ Satwiksairaj Rankireddy are yet to play a match since Paris. Malaysia’s Choong Hon Jian/ Muhammad Haikal have been inactive on the tour for a month. Reigning world champions, Kang Min Hyuk/Seo Seung Jae also pulled out from the event.
In mixed doubles, Malaysian pair Roy King Yap/Valeree Siow withdrew from their opening round clash against Danish duo of Mai Surrow/ Mathias Thyrri. Another Malaysian pair, Chen Tang Jie/ Toh Ee Wei will also be absent from the competition.
