The Malaysia Super 100 is an annual badminton tournament held in Malaysia, recognized as part of the BWF World Tour and categorized under the BWF Tour Super 100 level. Since its inaugural event in 2023 in Kuala Lumpur, the tournament has become a vital platform for players to earn crucial ranking points, significantly impacting their standings for the year-end BWF World Tour Finals.
In the inaugural edition, Leong Jun Hao clinched the men’s singles title, while Pitchamon Opatniputh took home the championship in the women’s singles category. Notably, former world number #1 Kidambi Srikanth from India is set to compete as the number #2 seed, marking his return to the circuit after four months.
In his most recent outing at the Macau Open, Srikanth was eliminated in the quarterfinals by Ng Ka Long Angus from Hong Kong.
The tournament primarily features players from Malaysia across various categories. The qualification rounds are set to commence on October 15, leading up to the finals scheduled for October 20. Additionally, Ira Sharma will be the sole representative for India in the women’s singles event.
