Satwik-Chirag's projected path to gold medal match at Paris Olympics 2024
Indian pair Satwik-Chirag are set to meet Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist pair Aaron/Soh in quarters.
The Indian duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty has created history by becoming the first ever Indian doubles pair to make it till the badminton quarterfinals at the Olympics. As Satwik-Chirag aim to fight for their maiden Olympic medal, let’s take a look at their projected path to the gold medal match.
Quarterfinals: Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik
Satwik-Chirag will face Tokyo 2020 bronze medalist pair of Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik in the quarterfinals. The Malaysian pair leads the head-to-head records by 8-3, which might look alarming but the last three encounters were won by the Indian pair, and in straight games.
