Indonesia Open 2026: All you need to know about prize money and points on offer

The total prize pool of Indonesia Open 2026 is US$1,450,000.

The BWF World Tour heads to Jakarta for one of the biggest tournaments of the season as the Indonesia Open 2026 gets underway at the iconic Istora Gelora Bung Karno.

As a Super 1000 event, the tournament will feature several of the world’s top badminton stars competing for massive ranking points and one of the highest prize purses on the BWF World Tour calendar.

World No. 1 Shi Yuqi enters the men’s singles draw as the top seed alongside reigning champion Anders Antonsen, Olympic finalist Kunlavut Vitidsarn, home favourite Jonatan Christie and former world champion Loh Kean Yew.

The women’s singles field will be led by Olympic gold medallist An Se-young along with China’s Wang Zhiyi and Chen Yufei, Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi and Thailand stars Ratchanok Intanon and Pornpawee Chochuwong.

India’s campaign in women’s singles will be spearheaded by two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu alongside rising youngsters Unnati Hooda and Malvika Bansod.

The doubles events are also expected to witness fierce battles featuring several elite pairs from across the globe.

South Korea’s Kim Won-ho and Seo Seung-jae headline the men’s doubles field alongside India’s Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, Malaysia’s Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik and Indonesia’s Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri.

In women’s doubles, reigning champions Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning will compete alongside Malaysia’s Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan and South Korea’s Baek Ha-na and Lee So-hee.

The mixed doubles category features top seeds Feng Yanzhe and Huang Dongping along with Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue, Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Supissara Paewsampran and Hong Kong’s Tang Chun Man and Tse Ying Suet.

India’s Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto, alongside Rohan Kapoor and Ruthvika Shivani Gadde, will also look to deliver strong performances at the prestigious event.

As a BWF Super 1000 event, the Indonesia Open 2026 offers massive ranking points in the race for the World Tour Finals and world rankings. With a total prize pool of US$1,450,000, it is among the richest tournaments on the BWF World Tour circuit.

Indonesia Open 2026 points on offer

As mentioned above, points are awarded as per all Super 1000 events. The winner will receive 12,000 points, while the runner-up will earn 10,200 points.

Players reaching the semi-finals will collect 8,400 points, while quarter-finalists will obtain 6,600 points. A Round of 16 finish guarantees 4,800 points, whereas players losing in the opening round will receive 3,000 points.

Indonesia Open 2026 prize pool

According to BWF regulations, the total prize pool for the Indonesia Open 2026 is USD 1,450,000. Winners in both singles categories will receive USD 101,500, while champions in all three doubles events will earn USD 107,300.

The runners-up in singles events will pocket USD 49,300, while doubles finalists will receive USD 50,750. Losing semi-finalists across all categories will earn USD 20,300.

Quarter-finalists in singles will receive USD 7,975, while doubles pairs will take home USD 9,062.50. Players reaching the Round of 16 in singles will earn USD 4,350, whereas doubles pairs will receive USD 4,712.50. First-round losers in every category will obtain USD 1,450.
