After finishing as runners-up in 2023 and 2025, India’s Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will hope to be third-time lucky when they take the court for the men’s doubles title match at China Masters 2026.
The World No. 4 Indian pair will take on China’s He Ji Ting and Ren Xiang Yu, who will be playing their first final in the BWF Super 750 event.
Satwik-Chirag would start as the overwhelming favourites, given the gulf in rankings as well as the experience. The Chinese pair’s season has been plagued by injuries, leading to them dropping to 70th position in the latest BWF rankings. This is only their seventh tournament of the season.

The Indian duo also holds a perfect 2-0 record in head-to-head, with their last meeting coming almost two years ago. Satwik-Chirag are yet to drop a game against the former World No. 4 Chinese pair.
However, they have been dragged to the deciding third game in each of their last three matches at the China Masters, starting with the last 16 matchup against the Popov brothers.
Satwik and Chirag defeated Christo & Toma Junior Popov 21-17, 24-22, 21-9 before seeing off Denmark duo Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen in an hour and 10 minutes (21-13, 16-21, 21-18) to confirm their place in the semi-finals for a fourth straight edition.
In the semi-finals, they went past Malaysia’s Nur Mohd Azriyn Ayub and Tan Wee Kiong 21-16, 18-21, 21-11 to reach the final. This is their third final appearance in the tournament and also their third in four seasons.
