Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will eye a second consecutive final appearance at the China Masters when they take the court for their semi-final clash against Malaysia’s Nur Mohd Azriyn Ayub and Tan Wee Kiong on Saturday.
The former World No. 1 pair has reached the final twice in the last three editions, finishing on the losing side on both occasions. They were beaten by Liang Wei Keng/Wang Chang of China in 2023 and went down to Korea’s Kim Won-ho/Seo Seung-jae last season.
Meanwhile, their opponents, Nur/Tan are yet to reach the title match at the BWF Super 750 event.

Satwik & Chirag also has a perfect head-to-head record against the Malaysian duo, having beaten them in straight games in two meetings. They last met in the round of 16 at the 2025 Malaysia Open, which Satwik-Chirag won by an identical score of 21-15, 21-15.
The winner of this match will meet the winner of the other semi-final match between Malaysia’s Tee Kai Wun/Yap Roy King and He Ji Ting/Ren Xiang Yu.
Earlier, the fourth-seeded Indian pair saw off Denmark’s Kim Astrup and Ander Skaarup Rasmussen in three games in the quarter-final round. That was after they had beaten the Popov brothers Christo & Toma Junior in straight games.
