Home favourite Victor Lai enters the tournament as top seed

The BWF World Tour moves from the United States to Canada for another Super 300 event, carrying a total prize pool of USD 250,000. The men’s singles draw features home favourites Victor Lai and Brian Yang as the top two seeds, while former world No. 1 Kidambi Srikanth is seeded fourth. Malaysia’s Lee Zii Jia, Japan’s Minoru Koga and Denmark’s Magnus Johannesen are among the other notable names in the field.

In women’s singles, Canada’s Michelle Li leads the draw ahead of Denmark’s Line Christophersen and Japan’s Riko Gunji. India will be represented by Devika Sihag, Anmol Kharb, Rakshitha Sree Santosh Ramraj, Shriyanshi Valishetty, Tanya Hemanth and Aakarshi Kashyap.

As a Super 300 event, the tournament offers valuable world ranking points as players continue their push towards qualification for major international championships later in the season.
