The BWF World Tour moves from the United States to Canada as the Yonex Canada Open 2026 gets underway at the Markham Pan Am Centre in Markham, Ontario, from June 30 to July 5.
The Super 300 tournament features several notable names, including former All England Champion Lee Zii Jia, former world championship silver medallist Kidambi Srikanth, Canada’s Brian Yang and Victor Lai, and Denmark’s Magnus Johannesen.
In women’s singles, home favourite Michelle Li headlines the field alongside Beiwen Zhang, Line Christophersen and rising Indian shuttler Devika Sihag.
India will once again have a strong presence at the tournament. Srikanth enters the event after finishing runner-up at last week’s US Open, while Devika Sihag will be aiming to build on her impressive semi-final run at the same tournament. Young Indian shuttlers Anmol Kharb, Shriyanshi Valishetty, Rakshitha Sree Santosh Ramraj and Tharun Mannepalli will also be in action.
With 7,000 ranking points and a share of the USD 250,000 prize pool on offer, the Canada Open promises another exciting week of badminton action.
