Meanwhile, the women’s singles final brings together two modern greats: Olympic champion and home favourite An Se-young and world champion Akane Yamaguchi of Japan.

In the men’s doubles finals Korea’s top-seeded duo Kim Won Ho and Seo Seung Jae are aiming for their eighth title of the year and are on a 14-match winning streak since their Paris World Championships win. They will face the Indonesian pair Muhammad Shohibul Fikri and Fajar Alfian.

On the other hand, it’s Rin Iwanaga and Kie Nakanishi of Japan versus Korea’s Kim Hye Jeong and Kong Hee Yong in the men’s doubles. This is a rematch of the Singapore Open final, where the Korean pair came out on top.

An all-Chinese final in the mixed doubles will feature a battle between Jiang Zhen Bang and Wei Ya Xin against Feng Yan Zhe and Huang Dong Ping.
