After his runner-up finish in 2022, Lakshya Sen will hope to go the full distance this time around when he meets Taipei’s Lin Chun-yi in the men’s singles final at All England Open 2026 on Sunday. Sen, 24, has finished second best to Viktor Axelsen at this very venue four years ago.

Unlike his Indian counterpart, Lin Chun-yi of Chinese Taipei has made his first major final. In the form of his life, Lin has already lifted the Indian Open title earlier in the season, where he saw past Sen in the quarter-finals. He also made the semis at the German Open.

For the Indian, this is his best performance of the season—having failed to make past the quarter-final stage until All England. Sen was plagued by injury and has only returned to action at the BWF Super 1000 event.

He will though have his task cut out against Lin Chun-yi, who leads their head-to-head record 4-0, with the most recent clash coming at the Indian Open earlier this season.
