The Indian men and women’s basketball teams will be in action in the FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup 2024 qualifiers with both teams eyeing a place in the main draw. India’s campaign in the qualifiers will begin on March 27 (Wednesday). Singapore is hosting the seventh edition of the FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup.

The tournament will begin with the qualifying rounds with 15 teams in the men’s category and 11 women’s teams, vying for a place in the main draw. Only the group toppers from each qualifying group will advance to the final stage.

In the men’s qualifiers, 15 teams have been divided into four groups each, while in the women’s qualiying draw, 11 teams have been put into three groups.

Indian men are in Pool D of the qualifiers alongside Malaysia, Maldives and Macau. The winners from this group will be placed with New Zealand and Qatar in the main draw.

The Indian women’s basketball team are in Pool C with Indonesia, Hong Kong and Northern Mariana Islands. Winners from this qualifying group will be paired with Mongolia and Malaysia.
