16 teams will compete in the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2025.

The 2025 edition of the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup will take place from June 28 to July 6 at the Vaudoise Arena in Laussane, Switzerland.

The 16 teams have been divided into four groups of four teams each. Argentina, New Zealand, Mali, and Serbia have been placed in Group A, while Group B includes China, Canada, Slovenia, and Germany. Group C consists of hosts Switzerland alongside Jordan, the Dominican Republic, and Israel. Meanwhile, the USA, Australia, Cameroon, and France are pitted in Group D.

Each team will play three matches in the group stage, playing against the other opponent in their respective groups once. All 16 teams will qualify for the Round of 16, scheduled to be played on July 2, followed by the quarter-finals and semi-finals on July 4 and 5, respectively.

The summit clash of the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2025 will be played on Sunday, July 6. Defending champions Spain won’t be competing in the upcoming edition of the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup. The USA are the most successful nation in the tournament with 8 titles, having last won in the 2021 edition.
