Delhi Dribblers built a five-point cushion at the last minute to win against Punjab Warriors in the InBL Pro U25 2025.

In a high-intensity showdown at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium, the Delhi Dribblers clinched a stunning 90-83 victory over the top-ranked Punjab Warriors in the InBl Pro U25 2025. Despite missing key players like Alex Mudronja, Lachlan Barker, Sahil, and Nawaz Singh Panaich, the Dribblers delivered a gritty performance, avenging their previous 81-72 loss to the Warriors.

James Montgomery led the charge with a dominant 27-point, 13-rebound double-double, while Mark Burkholder dropped 30 crucial points to lift his team off the bottom of the table.

The game opened with fireworks as Brijesh Tiwari drilled a three for the Warriors, followed by another from Vaisakh Manoj. The Dribblers, refusing to back down, turned up the pressure with a full-court press. However, early foul trouble saw Piyush Meena benched, giving the Warriors a slight edge. But Delhi’s big men took control; Burkholder and Meena muscled their way into the paint, keeping their team within three points at the end of the first quarter.

The Dribblers owned the boards in the second quarter, with Montgomery and Burkholder dominating both ends. Stokley Chaffee answered back for the Warriors with a powerful two-handed dunk, setting off a series of rapid lead changes. Punjab seemed to take control as Taane Samuel and Uche Dibiamaka opened up a five-point cushion, but Burkholder’s thunderous slam cut the lead back to three.

In the third quarter, a series of defensive stops led to fast breaks and Christopher Washburn orchestrated Delhi’s offense beautifully, setting up Daniel Poelsma and Burkholder for clutch buckets. However, Tiwari and Boston Mazlin kept Punjab in the fight and by the end of the third quarter, the score was locked at 64-64.

The final quarter saw Dibiamaka push the pace for Punjab, looking for transition points, but Delhi’s relentless rebounding gave them second-chance opportunities. The tension escalated as Dibiamaka, and Manoj fouled out midway through.

Montgomery capitalized, drawing fouls and sinking free throws to edge Delhi ahead. Washburn dazzled with no-look passes in transition, setting up Mohammad Ishaan for crucial baskets. With a minute left, the Dribblers built a five-point cushion. The Warriors, struggling to convert under pressure, faltered on offense, allowing Delhi to seal the win with fast-break points.
