InBL Pro U25 2025: Punjab Warriors seal semi-final spot by thrashing Mumbai Titans

Under immense pressure, Mumbai Titans had no answer to Punjab Warriors’ sustained attack in the InBL Pro U25 2025.

The Punjab Warriors stormed into the InBl Pro U25 2025 Semi-Finals with a commanding 79-56 victory over the Mumbai Titans at the Thyagraj Indoor Stadium. Uche Dibiamaka erupted for 23 points, while Stokley Chaffee delivered a monstrous double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds.

Gujarat Stallions, Punjab Warriors, Hyderabad Falcons, and Chennai Heat are the four teams that have advanced to the semi-final after a close league stage that saw the battle go down to the last match.

The Titans welcomed back former NBA player Lamar Patterson from injury, but they sorely missed Dalph Panopio’s presence.

The battle began with both teams trading baskets at a blistering pace. The Titans crashed the offensive glass and hustled for steals, but their struggles in converting chances kept the game tight. Chaffee imposed himself early, countered by Lokendra Singh’s hot shooting for the Titans. The momentum shifted when Taane Samuel entered the fray, dominating the paint to give the Warriors a five-point cushion at the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter saw the Warriors push their full-court offense, but the Titans tightened their defense. Patterson stepped up, briefly leveling the score, only for Chaffee to electrify the crowd with a thunderous block on Elijah Puna. Samuel’s continued dominance ensured the Warriors stayed in control, heading into halftime with a hard-earned 28-20 lead.

The third quarter was a slugfest. A steal by McDonald led to a fastbreak dunk from Patterson, cutting the deficit to just four points. The Titans stayed aggressive, with Lokendra and Patterson burying back-to-back threes to bring them within one. But just as the momentum seemed to shift, Dibiamaka attacked relentlessly, sparking a late Warriors surge. Tiwari’s buzzer-beating three stretched the lead to 11 heading into the final quarter.

Sensing blood, the Warriors went for the knockout blow. They relentlessly attacked Puna in the paint while suffocating the Titans’ offense. Patterson and Liam Judd fought to keep Mumbai in the game, but the Warriors’ defensive intensity was overwhelming. Chaffee dominated the boards, and the lead ballooned past 20 with three minutes remaining. The Titans, under immense pressure, had no answer to the Warriors’ relentless assault.
