For the full-fledged format of the sport, the nation already has the Indian National Basketball League (INBL). However, India lacked exposure to basketball 3 x 3, also an Olympic sport. In addition to that, the introduction of 5 x 5 events for men and women will also play a crucial role in the development of the sport in India.
