Alexis Rocha vs Raul Curiel 2: Match card, start time, where to watch & more

A high-stakes welterweight rematch will main event the fight card

Some boxing rematches are made out of convenience; this one is made out of necessity. Alexis Rocha vs Raul Curiel II is happening because their first encounter delivered ten rounds of blistering offense, tactical adjustments, and Fight of the Year-level drama.

Neither man backed down, momentum swung repeatedly, and the debate over who truly deserved the win has lingered ever since. That kind of unresolved chaos demands a second chapter, and Golden Boy Promotions is giving it the spotlight it deserves.

The welterweight rivals headline Golden Boy’s return, streaming live on DAZN, with regional stakes, the NABO and NABF titles and divisional leverage on the line. The televised main card is expected to begin at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT, while prelims stream on the Golden Boy YouTube channel starting around 4:30 PM ET / 1:30 PM PT.

Rocha (25-2-1, 16 KOs) enters the rematch with veteran experience and the kind of pressure-heavy style that turns every exchange into a test of durability. Curiel (16-0-1, 14 KOs), still unbeaten and eager to eliminate any doubts left from their first meeting, brings precision, power, and a calmness under fire that troubled Rocha the first time around.

Supporting the main event is a deep card featuring Manuel Flores vs Jorge Chavez, Ruslan Abdullaev vs Eduardo Abreu, and a loaded preliminary lineup including Joel Iriarte, John “Scrappy” Ramirez, Jordan Panthen, and more. For Rocha and Curiel, this is more than a rematch, it’s an ultimatum. The winner leaves with momentum, relevance, and a direct path toward bigger welterweight opportunities in 2026.

Alexis Rocha vs Raul Curiel II headlines Golden Boy Promotions’ return to DAZN on January 16, live from the Acrisure Arena at Greater Palm Springs in Palm Desert.

Their first meeting in December 2024 delivered high drama and sparked immediate calls for a rematch, and now both welterweights enter with even more at stake. Rocha (25-2-1, 16 KOs), who had won two straight before the Curiel bout, looks to reassert his position in the division after a competitive first clash.

Curiel (16-0-1, 14 KOs), meanwhile, has remained active, scoring a fourth-round stoppage over Victor Ezequiel Rodriguez. His power and composure continue to develop, ensuring Rocha must produce his sharpest performance to even the score.
