Henry Cejudo set for professional boxing debut against Javon Walton
Former UFC two-division champion Henry Cejudo will make his professional boxing debut against actor Javon “Wanna” Walton, best known for playing Ashtray in HBO’s Euphoria.
Cejudo and Walton (3-0-1, 1 KO) will headline Misfits Boxing at James L. Knight Arena in Miami, Florida, on Saturday, September 26.
Cejudo was initially scheduled to make his professional boxing debut against influencer Nurideen Shabazz, better known as Deen the Great. However, Shabazz was forced to withdraw after suffering an injury.
“I knew all along that Dean The B**** would back out, and so I am not surprised,” Cejudo said in a statement to ESPN. “But I have a new opponent now, who thinks he’s a fighter, but Wanna will be playing another robot by the time I’m done with him.”
Cejudo enters the matchup after an accomplished combat sports career that includes UFC championship reigns at flyweight and bantamweight. He posted a 16-6 record between 2014 and 2025.
However, Cejudo has lost his last four fights, most recently suffering a unanimous decision defeat to Payton Talbott in December 2025. The upcoming bout will give him an opportunity to begin a new chapter in boxing.

Before becoming a UFC champion, Cejudo made history in wrestling. He won Olympic gold at the 2008 Beijing Games at age 21, becoming the youngest U.S. Olympic wrestling champion in history.
He was later inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2018, further cementing his credentials across combat sports.
Walton, meanwhile, is signed to Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions and turned professional in boxing in 2023 after compiling a 20-9 amateur record.
The 19-year-old actor has gone 3-0-1 with one knockout as a professional. His most recent fight was a victory over Anthony Mora in Montreal, Quebec, in September 2025.
“Henry Cejudo is an Olympic gold medalist and a former UFC champion, so I know exactly the level of athlete I’m stepping in there with,” Walton said.
“This fight came up out of nowhere and I stepped up without hesitation. I stay ready for moments like this. This is boxing, and this is my world.”
Outside the ring, Walton has built an acting career that includes Euphoria, Samaritan, The Umbrella Academy, and The Addams Family 2, among other projects.
