Turki Alalshikh confirms Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua in UK

The mega showdown was teased during Tyson Fury’s recent fight.
Former lineal and WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury recently bounced back with a win after two back-to-back high-profile losses against Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury, in his comeback fight, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Tottenham on April 11, defeated Arslanbek Makhmudov. However, what happened after the fight quickly went viral online, sparking speculations among boxing fans.
Fury, during his post-fight, called out the former Unified Heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, who was present in the arena in the crowd stands, calling it “The Battle of Britain.”
Fury called on Joshua to accept the challenge and say either yes or no right then. However, Joshua declined the offer, while stating that Fury is a clout chaser and he has no problem getting in the ring with him, but he can’t tell him what to do.
“You’re a clout chaser. You ain’t gonna tell me what to do. I’m the boss. You work for me.”
Shortly after, Netflix, which was the streaming partner for the fight, revealed that the fight is confirmed for the autumn in the United Kingdom, and a tweet from Turki Alalshikh has seemingly confirmed that the fight is happening.

Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, a Saudi government department, Turki Alalshikh, who has been the driving force behind multiple mega fights in boxing in recent times, recently took to his X (Twitter) handle.
Alalshikh seemingly confirmed that the fight has been signed as he addresses fans in Great Britain, stating that the fight has been signed.
“To my friends in Great Britain – it’s happening 🦁. It’s signed ✍️🥊” Turki tweeted.
While there is no official confirmation regarding the fight, the tweet has seemingly confirmed that the fight is happening in the third quarter of 2026 in the United Kingdom and will be streamed on Netflix.
Additionally, Mike Coppinger of the Ring Magazine has also confirmed the news that Alalshikh was in fact talking about Fury vs AJ and that the fight will take place in the third quarter of 2026
