Junior world champion, Sohail Khan has firmly established himself as one of India’s most accomplished martial artists.

Top Indian martial artist Sohail Khan, also known as the ‘Golden Boy of Madhya Pradesh,’ is set to participate in the Kudo World Cup 2025 trials will held in Surat on February 8-9. These trials will serve as the final selection process for the prestigious Kudo World Cup in Bulgaria this May, which will feature top martial artists from over 60 countries.

Sohail will be competing in the Men’s -250 PI category (19+ age group) and has been rigorously preparing for this high-stakes event. His technical and strategic training is being supervised by Dr. Mohammad Aijaz Khan, ensuring he sharpens his skills and refines his fight strategies ahead of the trials.

Additionally, his strength and conditioning training is conducted under the guidance of Deepak Tiwari in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, helping him build the endurance and power required for elite-level combat. With a combination of skill development and intense physical preparation, Sohail is determined to secure his spot in the Indian squad.

Even though he has already secured a quota for India at the World Cup by winning a bronze medal at the Eurasian Kudo Cup 2024 in Armenia, he must still prove himself at the Surat trials to officially confirm his place on the Indian team.

The trials will bring together athletes from the 19-21 and 21+ age categories, ensuring that only the most skilled and prepared fighters earn their place. Entry into the competition is strictly reserved for national and international medalists from the 2024-25 season, making it a high-level contest where only the best will advance.
