List of all Indian athletes who won gold at Commonwealth Games 2026

India clinched 13 gold medals at the Glasgow CWG.

The Commonwealth Games 2026 will remain one of the most interesting campaigns for the Indian contingent at the multi-sport event.

Due to the absence of sports like shooting, wrestling, badminton, and table tennis, it was expected that India might not be able to deliver its best performance.

However, in that situation, Indian athletes performed significantly better in other sports, helping them fill the deficit created by the exclusion of other games. India picked up historic gold medals in Judo, while they also gave stellar performances in boxing and athletics.

As the tournament draws close to the end, let’s take a look at the list of athletes who won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games 2026.

Indian athletes who won gold in Glasgow

Mirabai Chanu: Weightlifting Women’s 48 kg

Lifting a total of 190 kg, Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu helped India win its first gold medal in Glasgow. It was Chanu’s fourth overall medal at the competition. It was also her third consecutive gold at the competition.

She joined the likes of Jaspal Rana, Vinesh Phogat, and Sushil Kumar, who have won consecutive gold medals at three different editions of the tournament.

Sharmila Dhankar: Women’s shot put F57

Sharmila Dhankar won India’s second gold medal at the CWG 2026. She scripted history to become the first Indian para-athlete to win a gold medal in para-athletics at the Commonwealth Games, with a season-best throw of 9.81 m.

Dilip Mahadu Gavit: Men’s 100 m T47

Later, Dilip Mahadu Gavit added another chapter of success to the history of Indian para-athletics at the Glasgow Games. He finished first in the Men’s 100 m T47 event, clocking a Games-Record timing of 10.71 seconds.

Soman Rana: Men’s shot put F57

On day 9 of the multi-sport event, Soman Rana won another gold medal for India in para-athletics. He competed in the men’s shot put F57 event and secured the gold medal after recording a season-best 13.40 m.

Asmita Dey: Judo Women’s 48 kg

Asmita Dey scripted history by winning India’s first-ever gold medal in Judo. The 23-year-old won her semi-final and final game on Golden Point. In the final, she defeated Canada’s Heidi Quach by yuko.

Harsh Singh: Judo Men’s 60 kg

Within an hour after Asmita Dey won India’s first judo gold at the CWG, Harsh Singh became the first male Indian judoka to secure the top podium finish at the multi-sport event. Harsh defeated Australia’s Joshua Katz in the final with waza-ari.

Preeti Pawar: Boxing Women’s 54 kg

After days of competition, 10 Indian boxers reached the final in their respective categories. Preeti Pawar was one of the first ones to compete in the summit clash on Day 9, and she did not disappoint. Preeti defeated Canada’s Scarlett Delgado by unanimous decision in the final.

Jaismine Lamboria: Boxing Women’s 57 kg

Much like Preeti Pawar, Jaismine Lamboria also won her final game, winning India’s second boxing gold medal at the Commonwealth Games. Jaismine won against reigning champion Michaela Walsh 5-0 by unanimous decision in the summit clash.

Sakshi Chaudhary: Boxing Women’s 51 kg

Sakshi Chaudhary dropped to the 51 kg category from 54 kg and dominated every opponent she faced in her campaign.

Meanwhile, she faced one of the most aggressive boxers in the category, Ruby White, in the final. However, unfazed by the challenge presented, Sakshi secured a unanimous 5-0 win over the 19-year-old English pugilist.

Priya Ghanghas: Boxing Women’s 60 kg

Priya Ghanghas faced Marie-Bathoul Al-Ahmadieh of Canada, and it turned out to be a tough bout for both the pugilists. However, Priya Ghanghas outclassed her Canadian opponent to win another gold medal in boxing for India at the Commonwealth Games 2026.

Arundhati Choudhary: Boxing Women’s 70 kg

Arundhati Choudhary never leaves an opportunity to display her boxing prowess, and she utilised the Commonwealth Games as the perfect chance to become the champion with a dominant win over England’s Chantelle Reid.

Sachin Siwach: Boxing Men’s 60 Kg

Sachin Siwach’s uppercut in the last round of the final bout against Tryagain Morning Ndevelo helped secure him a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games 2026.

Sachin’s performance in the summit clash will be remembered by boxing fans, especially considering that he also faced a point deduction in the second round. He became the first male boxer to win a gold medal at the 2026 Glasgow Games.

Ankush Panghal: Boxing Men’s 80 kg

Fighting in arguably the most competitive weight class in the men’s division, Ankush Panghal played like a warrior in the final against England’s Dimeji Shittu with a split decision of 4-1. He lost the first round; however, he made a comeback and won the match.
