Commonwealth Games 2026: Updated medal tally after Day 10, August 2

Australia once again finished at the top of the medal tally with a total of 171, including 70 gold medals.

The Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow featured 15 medal events on Day 10, which was the final day of the Games. The medal events took place in four disciplines: judo, track cycling, para-track cycling, and netball.

India failed to win a medal on Sunday, as their athletes suffered disappointing results in judo and track cycling.

Hoping to win the nation’s 40th medal at the Glasgow CWG, Ishroop Narang came the closest to doing so before going down in the bronze medal match.

Australia wrapped up another dominant Commonwealth Games campaign, finishing well clear at the top of the table with 70 gold, 45 silver and 56 bronze medals. England came in second with 29 golds, while Canada rounded out the top three with 19.

India registered one of their greatest Commonwealth Games campaigns, finishing fourth and winning 13 gold medals. To do so in the absence of several of their key sports is a spectacular achievement. Their domination in boxing, as well as brilliant performances in judo, athletics and weightlifting, helped them achieve this tally.

Scotland finished in fifth place, having won the same number of medals as India. Moreover, New Zealand finished sixth with 10 golds. Nigeria and Jamaica both crossed into double figures for gold medals too, and Wales capped off a solid Games with 31 medals in total, including nine gold medals.

On the final day, Australia’s Lee Hoffman broke the Games record to win gold in the men’s 1000m time trial, Tara Neyland took the women’s C4-C5 1000m time trial title, and Alyssa Polites led home an Australian one-two in the women’s elimination race.

Wales’ Emma Finucane made history, completing a clean sweep of all four women’s track sprint golds after also winning the keirin. And in one of the shocks of the Games, New Zealand ended Australia’s long grip on netball gold with a 56-48 win in the final.

England had plenty to smile about too as Katherine Rednall won gold in the women’s singles bowls, Matthew Robertson set a Games record en route to the men’s C2-C3 3000m individual pursuit title, and Emma Reid successfully defended her women’s 78kg judo crown.

In judo, Canada’s Kyle Reyes won the men’s 100kg title, Cyprus’ Giannis Antoniou claimed his country’s first-ever gold at the Games in the men’s +100kg category, and New Zealand’s Sydnee Andrews topped the women’s +78kg podium.

The Isle of Man also had reason to celebrate as Matthew Bostock produced a dramatic ride to win the men’s 40km points race, bringing home the island’s first Commonwealth gold in two decades.
