Mirabai Chanu has won India’s third medal at the Commonwealth Games 2026.

Mirabai Chanu added another page of glory to the history books of Indian weightlifting after winning her third consecutive gold medal at the Commonwealth Games.

For the past few years, the 32-year-old athlete has been the country’s biggest hope in weightlifting, especially after winning a silver medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Chanu has been the most successful weightlifter from India at the Games, courtesy of her four medals between 2014 and 2026. At Glasgow 2014, she won her first Commonwealth Games medal, which was a silver.

However, she improved her performance at the 2018 Gold Coast Games after clinching her first gold medal. Since then, Chanu has been consistent in her performance and has not missed a moment to shine.

Following her triumph in the ongoing competition, let’s take a look at the records set by Mirabai Chanu at the Commonwealth Games 2026.
