Emma McKeon made her Games debut in Glasgow in 2014. She won six medals at the multi-sport event, including four gold medals in the 200m freestyle, 4x100m freestyle, 4x200m freestyle, and 4x100m medley.
At the 2018 Gold Coast Games, she won her first 100m butterfly gold at the competition. McKeon also defended her gold medal in the other three team events. However, she failed to defend her 200m freestyle crown and ended up winning a bronze in the category.
