Rohit Sharma will returns to ODI action after two-month break.
India will begin their three-match ODI series against West Indies on September 27, with the first game set to be played at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
The three-match series will also give India another chance to prepare for the 2027 ODI World Cup. Shubman Gill will captain the team, while experienced players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja will return to the ODI setup.
At the same time, several regular players will miss the series due to their Asian Games commitments. Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan, Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel are among those currently in Japan.

Rohit has achieved a lot in his ODI career and will now have three matches to add a few more records to his name. His last ODI game was against England, where he scored a memorable century at Lord’s.
The former India captain scored 138 off 110 balls in that game and became the first Indian batter to score an ODI century at the venue.
