Indian Cricket Team have won the ICC Champions Trophy thrice.

Team India made history as they went on to become the first team to win the three ICC Champions Trophy titles. They beat New Zealand in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai and won their second ICC title in a span of nine months.

It was the second ICC title for Rohit Sharma as captain. Notably, it was India’s third successive final appearance at the ICC Champions Trophy. India won the 2013 edition under MS Dhoni’s captaincy, while they failed to win the trophy in 2017 under Virat Kohli’s captaincy.

Some of the players from the current team were part of that win in 2013 when India beat England in the final to lift the title. Those players also played in the 2025 edition. Here we will talk about three such players who have been part of the Indian winning side in the 2013 and 2025 editions.

Three Indian cricketers who won the ICC Champions Trophy titles in 2013 and 2025.

1. Rohit Sharma

Captain Rohit Sharma played a crucial role in India winning the title in 2013. He finished as the fourth highest run-scorer with 177 runs in that tournament. Rohit won that title as a player, and now he won the 2025 edition as a captain.

His knock of 76 runs in the final was one key reason that India won in 2025. Hence, he has now become the first Indian player to win the ICC Champions Trophy title both as a player and captain.

2. Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli scored an important 43 off 34 in the final of the 2013 edition and scored 176 runs in the entire edition. His runs in the final helped India reach a score of 129/7, which ended up as a winning score in a 20-over-per-side contest.

In the 2025 edition, he finished as India’s second-highest scorer with 218 runs in five innings. Virat also won two Man of the Match awards for his knocks against Pakistan and Australia (semi-final).

3. Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja is the third player to have played for both sides that won the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013 and 2025. In fact, he had an incredible final in 2013. He won the Player of the Match award in the 2013 final for his 33* (25) with the bat and 2/24 with the ball.

Jadeja played a crucial role in the 2025 edition as well. He took five wickets with the ball and was very economical. Jadeja also hit the winning runs for India in the final and won his third ICC title.
