Former Indian captain MS Dhoni is fifth leading six-hitter for India in tests. MS Dhoni started his career with a bang and batted with aggressive intent but soon the maturity hit with the responsibility of captaincy. MS Dhoni finished his 90-match test career with 78 sixes. He scored 4876 runs at a magnificent average of 38.09 batting mostly at number 7.

4. Ravindra Jadeja – 80 sixes

Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is fourth leading six-hitter in test cricket for India. Ravindra Jadeja made his test debut December 2012 against England. He began his career as a bowling all-rounder, but slowly transitioned into a batting all-rounder. Jadeja has so far played 88 test matches for India. With the ball, he has scalped over 300 wickets, while with the bat, he has scored over 4000 runs and hit 80* sixes.

3. Rohit Sharma – 88 sixes

Former Indian captain Rohit Sharma is also in the tally with 88 sixes in test cricket. Rohit Sharma’s test career turned around after he was promoted to open in 2019. Rohit played 67 tests for India from 2013 to 2024. He scored 4301 runs at an average of 40.57. He hit 12 hundreds and 18 fifties in his career.

2. Virender Sehwag – 91 sixes

Former Indian opening batter Virender Sehwag was known for providing fiery starts to Indian team. Sehwag’s fabulous strokeplay without much footwork kept him at number one position in terms of hitting most sixes for India in tests until Pant broke it. Virender Sehwag played 104 test matches for India and has smashed 91 sixes, he scored 8586 runs in his 12-long career form 2001 to 2013.

First on the list is Indian wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant. He has sealed a permanent spot in India’s test side since his debut and has hit 92 sixes in just 48* tests for India. By the end of his career, he will easily become the batter with most sixes in test cricket.
