Five men’s and two women’s cricketers have been inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame class of 2025.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) released the list of seven cricketers who have been added to the ICC Hall of Fame in 2025. Five men’s cricketers and two women’s cricketers have been inducted into the list this year.

The ICC Hall of Fame was introduced in 2009 to recognize and honour the achievements of legends of the game. Every year, the ICC inducts cricketers to the list and also felicitates them during official ceremonies. The selected cricket legends are presented with an ICC Cricket Hall of Fame cap during an official event.

The five new men’s cricketers added to the list this year include two South Africa players, and one player each from Australia, New Zealand, and India. Among the female members, one Pakistan cricketer and one England cricketer have been added to the list.

Who are the seven cricketers inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame in 2025?

Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni has been added to ICC Hall of Fame in 2025. He has become the ninth Indian men’s cricketer to get recognition from the ICC. The other male cricketers are former Australia opener Matthew Hayden and former New Zealand spinner Daniel Vettori.

Former Proteas legendary opener Hashim Amla and former captain Graeme Smith have also earned an entry to the reputed list this year. Former Pakistan women’s cricketer Sana Mir and former England women’s cricketer Sarah Taylor are the female members who were felicitated by the ICC this year.

Meanwhile, the other eight Indian men’s cricketers in the ICC Hall of Fame are Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Vinoo Mankad, Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, and Bishan Singh Bedi. Diana Edulji and Neetu David are the only two Indian women’s cricketers to be part of the list. A total of 11 cricketers from India have made it to the ICC Hall of Fame till date.
